An instrument can tell many stories

An instrument can tell many stories

In its lifetime an instrument can tell many stories, from the songs that they sing, to the friends that they meet along the way.

This lovely old violin has an interesting back story all of its own.

Actually bought in Burma at the end of WWII, it belonged to my customer’s father who was stationed there as a military serviceman.

The violin has seen some travels and the World at War, and since the owner’s passing, has been sleeping for many years in their attic.

Being a priceless piece of the family history, it has been brought to True Notes for a spring clean and a new set of strings.

It’s now awake and ready to sing once again.

I wonder what the next 73 years will bring??
